Plant a Million Corals Foundation

To establish reef restoration at scale, with 1 million corals as a darn good start!

Education, Demonstration, and Training

Paramount is the transfer of this new technology to others around the world through education programs that demonstrate the technology and train through “hands on” workshops and seminars to include:

  • The new “micro-fragmentation” of the massive species selection of existing resistant strains to produce more corals that have survived and not perished in the recent past.
  • The implementation of simple coral sexual reproduction technology to produce dozens of new genetic recombination for genetic diversity.
  • The production of land based coral nurseries at affordable costs and large scale productions

Incubator Labs

Design and implementation of shippable coral nursery labs using shipping containers (Nursery-In-A-Box) or designed and build on site as a community based project.

Education

Develop on-site tour programming for public projects.

The success of any conservation project or training project depends on the community participation.  It is important that projects train and employ local residents to carry the project forward.  Since many of the projects occur in public waters, the community must take ownership in the area.  This can be done with education programs both in the schools as well as public events to showcase what is being done.
